The Eye Defects Research Foundation, founded in 1994, is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization committed to supporting molecular genetic, stem cell, and surgical research into birth defects of the eye, which cause diseases that ultimately lead to blindness.

The goals of the Foundation are: to educate the public and promote awareness of new and cutting edge research; to create global research partnerships and alliances; to establish collaborative research efforts worldwide; to develop new and innovative treatments for the prevention of blindness; and to fund and support medical research and treatment for patients with blinding eye diseases.

The Eye Defects Research Foundation, is proud to work with the Vehicle Donation Processing Center, Inc. to process your car donation. The Vehicle Donation Processing Center, Inc. is one of the oldest and most reputable charitable car donation processors in the country. When a donation is pledged the Vehicle Donation Processing Center takes the donor information over the telephone, and handles all of the documents, pick up of the donation, sale at auction, and distribution of the proceeds to The Eye Defects Research Foundation. This leaves The Eye Defects Research Foundation free to concentrate on what really matters; their work within the community.
